Old Omega Sewing Machine w/o manual? - omega sm 300 by watchco

We have an old Omega R300K sm left from the previous owners of the house. They say that the model is R300K. It works ... to solve some problems, but we can not solve, The Kinks, because we have the manual. Who can help that would be great!

They should have a sewing machine, professional cleanings, and adjusted annually, and the technician is able to find a manual or at least the intricacies of this particular machine. Enjoy your vintage sewing machine!

If you've been sitting for a prolonged period, you need to clean and oil. I like in a sewing factory and see what they could do for you. Probably can be fixed for less than $ 40 (what if I'm on a set-up would cost), depending on the problem.

Have you tried to find a manual online on Google or Dogpile to? If not, it's worth a try. Going nowhere and kind of owner's manual R300K Omega "in the search box. It should have to take a, if over the Internet to connect to.

If animals as you can, use their sense of the machine, on this basis must be cleaned and oiled machine in order to function properly.

Remove the cover (for the screws for this) and make sure that the dust and dirt. Get rid of dust and dirt. A soft brush (about the size of a large brush, actually) for cleaning the bowels of the sewing machine excellent.

When the dust is gone, add a drop oiil everywhere meet where two or more moving parts, or even closer to each other. If you have a removable bobbin case to remove and clean. Put one or two drops of oil from the rear, when the coil - no moving parts, which are not seen. If this is not a removable case in the coil, move to roll one or two drops of oil through the center of the place of the coil, handwheSubmit a few times (wireless everywhere yet), wipe the excess oil to see. Personally, I prefer it, too little oil on an old machine that do not have enough.

With the lid and there is no wire in the machine, check your belt or waistband. You can crack and dry in recent years. They are also very easy to replace. You'll find them on the wall of the ideas of most fabric stores. If you do not, you can try a shop of sewing machines for the repair. It must sell. Most bands come with installation instructions. If possible, remove the old and repugnant to the store with you in a plastic bag. So if the packaging indicates that without modern belt fits your system, you can see belts and find the right one.

If you have difficulties, which cause or a coil, write me. I have worked with many different machines, one worked for left-handers. I know how to coil weight wind and most of them, especially when they are older. Click on my avatar a link e-mail.
